In honor of my late sister,Stacy Tran Dhiab, 1971 - 2023
2023 was the toughest year of my life. It felt like Murphy’s Law was in full force. The biggest challenge was my only sister battling ovarian cancer. Watching her deteriorate through treatments was heartbreaking. The hospital visits, nights at home administering morphine every 2-3 hours, and then driving an hour back to Orange County to manage my family and work were grueling. I put my life on pause, and my business suffered, but there was never enough time.
I held my sister as she passed away, witnessing firsthand the devastating effects of losing one's health. When you don’t have enough muscle to fight the health battle of your life, you will lose. It’s that simple. All of your habits start showing themselves in your 40s, and by your 50s, those struggling to keep up physically often feel low confidence. My sister died at age 51—so young.
Then came the grief. Two weeks after her death, I had to move homes and take on the responsibility of managing her affairs. Despite all of this, I was grateful for a profound way to express my unconditional love.
2024 is a year of healing. Fulfilling one of my sister's final wishes, I am reclaiming the person I was before prioritizing everyone else for 14 years. Competing in Mrs. Asia USA is a new challenge, an opportunity to make new friends, and community service.
It’s been 15 years since I’ve been on stage. I am excited to introduce my journey as Mrs. Vietnam, competing for Mrs. Asia USA on November 16, 2024.
This effort is dedicated to my dear sister, who wanted me to get back to chasing dreams and shining.

Continuing My Family's Legacy of Service
My father's journey from a Vietnamese refugee to a dedicated social worker in the United States is a testament to resilience and the power of community service. He helped resettle over 130,000 Southeast Asian refugees, offering them new opportunities and hope. Following in his footsteps, I strive to continue his legacy by making a meaningful impact in the AAPI community.
Through my personal and professional endeavors, I am committed to embodying the values of strength, resilience, and compassion. My goal is to positively impact lives and foster a community where everyone has the chance to thrive.
AAPI Representation and Inclusion
Growing up in the Midwest as a first-generation Viet Kieu, I faced a lack of role models who looked like me in prominent positions. This motivated me to tackle the hardest challenges to build my character and confidence, set goals to excel in all areas of life, and live a life by design. Through this journey, I developed a framework that helps others clarify and achieve their own life goals.
As 2024 Mrs. Vietnam, my journey to Mrs. Asia USA continues my life mission to champion physical and economic health, while finding balance with your family. For the younger generation, I aim to represent a Renaissance woman archetype who understands the unique challenges of growing up within AAPI culture.
By sharing my story, I hope to inspire others to pursue their dreams, knowing they, too, can lead, nurture, and succeed. My mission is to create a more inclusive world where diverse voices are heard, respected, and celebrated.
